From Anushka Sharma’s over-sized shirt to Katrina Kaif’s casual tee: How to be your stylish best during work from home – Times of India
The experts agree that it is important to maintain a sense of going to work while at home. We got in touch with Ambud Sharma, CEO, Escaro Royale to help our readers with tips on how to ace the WFH fashion. And, here’s what he had to say:
Take a shower. Eat breakfast. Keep a task list or target sheet in front of you. Choose an outfit that makes you feel like you are working and not just lounging around the house on a Sunday morning. Rather than being on your couch or laying in bed with your laptop and work stuff, create a space for work in your home where you feel focused. The same goes for your wardrobe, don’t wear the same T-shirt you wear for rambling. Wear something that’s going to help you feel like being at work.
There is this thing about fashion that you can always switch up your look according to your mood. And while working from home, you will probably have days where you just don’t feel like getting dressed up. So, the first step to stick to the couch in vogue is to try out and revamp your closet. Try everything on and window shop your own wardrobe – get this done quickly before you are trapped in the black hole of online shopping. Every person has at least one item of clothing or accessory that they love but have never worn. And another unexpectedly fashionable benefit of quarantine is the eradication of seasonal fashion rules if you still follow them. No one will get to know if you wear an oversized white t-shirt or denim pants. Well, that’s what all the Bollywood ladies are wearing too!
There might be days when you might not want to dress up as much as you did during the office or by seeing your colleagues and client; however, your personal mood is also affected by the colours around you. Like, when you want to get up and move, physically and emotionally; go for warm tones like orange, red, yellow or reddish-purples. And, when it’s time to slow things down for the day, cooler tones can be de-stressing. Men can try to put colour with accessories, like cufflinks for shirts, and a headband according to your top and much more. Even the colour of your socks, especially if you are not wearing footwear, can help lift your mood.
As with most things, figuring out your ideal work from home style is all about balancing and establishing a regular lifestyle. A challenge in work from home is detaching from work. Changing clothes will help you feel like you are not always working. These little changes can shift your mental state and draw a boundary between work and home.
