Deepika Padukone announces a discussion session with WHO’s Dr Tedros on mental health amid Coronavirus crisis; receives backlash for collaborating with him – Times of India

Bollywood actress and mental health activist Deepika Padukone recently announced that she will be teaming up with Dr Tedros, director-general of World Health Organization (WHO) to discuss the importance of mental health amidst the Coronavirus crises. The actress revealed that she will be going live with Dr Tedros on April 23rd at 7 pm IST.

However soon, the actress received a backlash from her fans the same. Fans were unhappy with Deepika’s collaboration with Dr Tedros. Some even went on to say that they have lost respect for the actress and won’t watch her films anymore. Here’s what they posted:

Meanwhile, this is not the first time the actress has faced such a back lash from the masses.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress was last seen in Meghna Gulzar‘s ‘Chhapaak’. She will next feature Shakun Batra‘s upcoming film with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. She will also star in the Hindi remake of Hollywood drama ‘The Intern’ starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.
